• Device information — device type, operating system, and app version, for support and security purposes
• Driver documents — for driver accounts: licence, vehicle particulars, and identity documents

2. How we use your information

We use your information to connect you with a driver or rider, calculate fares, provide navigation and traffic rerouting, process payments, verify driver eligibility, respond to support requests, and improve the safety and reliability of the Service.

3. Location data, specifically

Location data is core to how FastRide works. We collect your location when the app is open to match you with nearby drivers and to provide live trip tracking. If you enable trip sharing, your location is shared with the person you choose for the duration of that trip only.

4. Who we share information with

• Your driver or rider — limited details needed to complete a trip safely (name, photo, rating, location)
• Payment processors — to complete card and transfer payments
• Service providers who support our operations (e.g. cloud hosting, customer support tools), under confidentiality obligations
• Law enforcement or regulators, where required by Nigerian law or to protect the safety of our users

We do not sell your personal information.

5. How we protect your data

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls, and regular security reviews, to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss or misuse.

6. Your rights

We retain trip and account information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, tax and safety-reporting obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized.

Our website uses minimal cookies to keep you signed in and to understand how the site is used, so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

9. Children's privacy

FastRide is not intended for use by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
