1. Who can use FastRide

You must be at least 18 years old to create a rider account, and at least 21 years old to register as a driver. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet these age requirements and that all information you provide is accurate.

2. What FastRide is — and isn't

FastRide operates a technology platform that connects riders seeking transportation with independent third-party drivers who provide those services. FastRide is not a transportation carrier, and drivers using the platform are independent contractors, not employees of FastRide.

3. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us immediately at info@fastride.online if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

4. Rider responsibilities

• Provide accurate pickup and destination information
• Treat drivers with respect and behave safely during trips
• Pay the fare shown for your trip through your selected payment method
• Not use the Service for any unlawful purpose

5. Driver responsibilities

• Hold a valid licence and maintain a roadworthy, properly insured vehicle
• Comply with all applicable traffic and transportation laws
• Provide accurate vehicle and identity information during onboarding
• Treat riders with courtesy and prioritize passenger safety at all times

6. Fares, payments & cancellations

Fares are calculated based on distance, estimated time and prevailing demand, and are shown to riders before a trip is confirmed. Cancellation fees may apply if a rider cancels after a driver has been dispatched, or if a driver arrives and the rider is not reasonably available at the pickup point.

7. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to misuse the Service, including but not limited to: providing false information, harassing or endangering other users, attempting to circumvent safety features, or using the platform to facilitate illegal activity. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FastRide's liability arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the trip giving rise to the claim. FastRide is not liable for the independent acts of third-party drivers, except as required by applicable Nigerian law.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time by contacting support. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for violations of these Terms or for conduct that we believe puts other users at risk.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you through the app or by email before the changes take effect.
